Heritage-to inherit/ something transmitted by or acquired from a predecessor/ something possessed as a result of ones natural situation or birth. Tradition - an inherited or established way of thinking, feeling, or doing. Point of View-any persons view regardless of culture or race Evolution - a process of change in a certain direction/ flowering/ progression/ unfolding

The fact that all of Heritage’s members grew up on the same community and knew each other from a very young age makes them unique. All of them have the same back ground and share the same goals. Sharing and displaying their talent and having new ideas is what will drive these five individuals to bigger goals and future projects.

Heritage’s lead vocalist, and acoustic guitarist is Darren Bignell.(middle right) Married, with two young sons, Darren is the second of five boys. Pete Constant,(middle left) does back vocals, guitars, and lead guitars, he has been writing short stories and playing guitar since he was 16. His story writing skills are reflected greatly in his lyrics. Bass guitar player Jeff McKenzie (not shown) is a self taught musician and the father of two beautiful young girls. Quintin Bignell (left) is the kid brother to Darren. Since he was five, he’s been playing drums. He got his first drum set when he was nine. Right out of high school he has become an exceptional song writer and developed a style of his own when it comes to production of song. Heritage’s newest and eldest member is Joe Lathlin.(right) “Joey” plays rhythm, lead guitar, and back vocals. He is the youngest of nine children. His father is the late Chief Gordon Lathlin.

November 2003 saw the release of the groups second full length all original album called Evolution.. Together since early 1998, their first effort was titled Point of View which was a completed project in the fall of 2001. This album proved worthy for 2 nominations at the 2002 Canadian Aboriginal Music Awards, as well as Best Aboriginal Recording at the Prairie Music Awards 2002.The Evolution album is certain for nomination once again at this years award shows. Early in 2004 the group’s web site was recognized by the Canadian Web Awards as being rated “very good” in design with the likes of mainstream superstars in the same category.
