Dean Jenkinson

Dean Jenkinson is a Winnipegger and proud of it. He tours the country regularly, performing his unique brand of stand-up in clubs from coast to coast.

Since starting his comedy career over a decade ago, this young veteran has gone on to television appearances on The Comedy Network's "Comedy at Club 54" and Global's "Comedy on Stage". In 1998, he was featured in his own 30-minute episode of CBC's "COMICS!"

CBC news viewers recognize Dean from his award winning satirical commentaries on shows like "Canada Now" and "Saturday Report". He is heard every Friday morning on CBC Manitoba's "Information Radio" as "The Headliner," singing an original comedy song from the week's headlines.

Dean has also appeared at The Winnipeg Folk Festival as a main stage host since 1999. His 1998 play "How Do You Know When You're Done" along with Al Rae was named among the Top Ten at the Winnipeg Fringe Festival. And he was a big hit at the inaugural Winnipeg Comedy Festival.
