Always accompanied by his kazoo and his clownesque sense of humor, Damien Lussier knows how to get his audience up and dancing with his original compositions and traditional flair.

 

            Playing at various venues and festivals across Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, BC and Quebec has given this singer/songwriter a suitcase full of melodies and experiences!

 

            In 2003, Damien was nominated at the Western Canadian Music Awards in the category for Outstanding Children's Recording - the only francophone artist in this category.

 

            His musical style and performances cross age and language demarcations.  Damien Lussier is truly a must hear!

 

 

Grades K-6

Show includes original and traditional French Canadian songs that will have the kids singing and dancing along!

 

 

Grades: 7-12

 

Show includes traditional and original songs.  A moving show that will have tons of energy and full of French Canadian folklore!

 

 

Grades: 5-6, 7-12

 

An introductory workshop on French Canadian poetry and songs.  Students will have the chance to become poets for the day!  They will compose their own texts following the formatting that Damien will teach and they will also compose a song together, a ‘cadavre exquis” – round robin style that Damien will then put to original music with the help of his guitar.
