"Aaron Jake Goodvin is a young artist on the move."
"this kid definitely has a bundle of song writing talent and is full of charisma."
Bill Borgwardt, Country Music News, December 2004 *****************************************************************************
Aaron ”Jake” turns 20 years old on July 24th 2005, singing and playing country music with his band, back home where it all began 9 years ago in Grande Prairie Alberta......

Aaron Jake, currently living in St. Albert, was born and raised in Northern Alberta's Peace Country around a large musical family. Aaron first took the stage at 11 years of age at the Prairie Mall in Grande Prairie. In the last 9 years Aaron has performed hundreds of times all over Alberta, into B.C., & Saskatchewan. In 2004 he performed in Nashville and Pigeon Forge Tennessee and in 2005 he performed in Austin Texas and Nashville Tennessee again.!!!

Aaron's first 3 song CD was recorded in the spring of 2003 at Chris Rolin Sound Studios in Pitt Meadows B.C. (Chris was referred to Aaron by Country Music Recording artist Rick Tippe) .The first single "Dream and Write A Book" CO-written by Aaron and Greg Tonn was released to radio in August of 2003 and lasted on the Top 100 CanCountry Hits for 4 months!!

Aaron's second single "One More Moment", written by Aaron was released to radio in the spring of 2004 and lasted on the Top 100 CanCountry Hits for 10 months!

In the fall of 2003 Aaron was thrilled to come in as 1st runner-up in the Country Vocal Spotlight Competition held at Northlands every fall during C.F.R.!
As part of the prize winning package, Aaron is very honoured to be a Rising Star in the Global Country Rising Star Program. Aaron made his first trip to Tennessee with the rest of the 2003 CVS winners for the North American Country Music Association's International (NACMAI) .7th annual country music competition in Pigeon Forge. Aaron was awarded the 2004 International New Country Male vocalist of the Year.

While Aaron was out on the road in December 2004, he was thrilled to find out that he had made the Regional Auditions for Nashville Star 3 in Austin Texas !!Aaron was one of 4 Canadians in the 75 hopefuls out of the thousands that auditioned. 2005 started off with a bang in Austin and then it was off to Nashville for one month to record another 4 song C.D. with Grammy Nominated Producer/Engineer Miles Wilkinson. With Miles’s help, Aaron was able to meet and write with some of the very best song writers in Nashville.

" I sent you an E-mail congratulations on being a participant of the Nashville Star process.....
I am even more impressed that "Miles Wilkinson" is involved with your career....You have accomplished what only the top three final singers have done (*Jewell *Cotter * Canyon) and that is become involved with a major producer. Miles has a "Legacy of Class and Quality" in the music business. You have a 'jump start' on the show by getting an early start on recording....Congratulations......All the best to you."

Aaron united three talented musician friends, Ben Bradley, Dylan Gillett and Matt McKay in 2004 to form his own backup band. Aaron does all the bookings, scheduling, setting up production and managing for the Band
After winning the Country Rising Superstar contest in May 2005. The Aaron Goodvin Band recorded a live album of their most requested originals, the Album was called Almost Famous.

Since Aaron graduated from High School in 2003, he has been working very hard with his music career, (as well as every afternoon at a shipping yard if he isn't on the road) He loves to entertain young and old, either acoustically or with his full back-up band, for small gatherings to crowds of thousands. His versatility is shown not only in his singing and playing traditional country, new country and old rock, but Aaron also excels at song writing and creating his own music. He's an award winning and very dedicated vocalist, songwriter and performer!

He's very honoured to be associated with the country music industry, and is continually amazed and thankful at how much support he has out there!
